    S.P. Mandali's WeSchool hosts the first ever virtual NASA Space Apps Challenge 202

    WeSchool collaborated as academic partner for the 9th NASA International Space Apps Challenge, an international competition taking place in over 170 locations around the world. The institute joined the national-level finale as the host centre for Maharashtra state from 2nd October to 4th October. The inaugural on 2nd October was virtually host by WeSchool for over 800 participants and respective institues from Maharashtra, Karnataka and Telangana.

    S.P. Mandali's WeSchool organises Foundation Program 'NEEV', a 14 day student orientation program

    The program was organised for our fresher batches to make a powerful head-start. Centred around the theme, NEEV 2020 presented a bouquet of diverse experiences, engaging talks by industry leaders, workshops, viz. Virtual Industry Immersion, and insightful grooming sessions, personal/ professional development sessions that were highly engaging and interactive. During the program, students explored, reflected and assimilated their learning.

    S.P. Mandali's as Mumbai's only nodal centre conducted the First ever Virtual Smart India Hackathon 2020 (software edition)

    Total 35 teams with over 210 participants contested against groups while working on problem statements from any one of the organisations - CDK Global, MathWorks and MixORG. Each problem statement had a winning amount of One Lakh Rupees. WeSchool presented We-Inspiration awards, each of prize money Rs 25,000/- to two teams.

    With COVID-19 keeping each one socially distant, the international Yoga was observed from home by WeSchool teaching faculty, staff and students. The yoga mats were stretched and asanas were performed to remind us the importance of health. A special feature video by WeSchool Healthcare faculty and students is a reflection of Indian values in management education education at WeSchool.     WeSchool is proud to share its' official partnership with Trade and Investment Queensland, Australia acting through Study Queensland. The delegation was led by Sir Jim Varghese, National Chair, Australia India Business Council Ltd., with noted academia from University of Queensland, Bond Business School, University of Southern Queensland, Central Queensland University and senior team from Trade and Investment Queensland, Australia and India. Study Queensland and Welingkar Institute of Management WeSchool will work collaboratively in delivering a physical ‘education and innovation hub’ in India to connect Queensland’s academic experts, scientists and innovators to showcase, deliberate, share and engage, with their counterparts, industry, innovators and investors in India.

P .Mandali and Local Managing Committee, WeSchool and Prof. Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool, awarding the convocation certificates to the graduating 2017-19 batch of students for MMS (Masters in Management Studies) and Three Years Part-Time Master’s Degree Program in Marketing, Human Resources, Information Technology and Finance of 2016- 2019 batch.

    It is the first version of MIT India workshop series assimilating the drive of multiple departments from MIT and Harvard to address local challenges of India. The workshop brings together students from various institutes to solve local challenges through design thinking and technology. Innovation centric initiatives of such nature inculcate societal values among the youth thereby sensitising them to be contributors to nature and society at large About The MIT India Initiative: It is a not-for-profit effort of students and alumni from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to delve into pressing problems in novel, challenging contexts, and tackle these with technology and design.     On 16th January 2020, S.P. Mandali’s Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool), India’s leading B-School organised a unique social initiative ‘Friends of India’ to felicitate the efforts of individuals who have distinctly contributed to the Socio-Economic and Cultural development of India across the globe. The people who were honoured were- Dove Segev-Steinberg (Israel) for his contribution to social service and Joss Brooks (Australia) for his contribution to environment, Fif Fernandes and Hamish Boyde for their contribution to health and wellness, Christopher Turillo (USA) for his contribution to education, T M Hoffman (USA) a master in Indian and Japanese music – vocal and Flute; Achia Anzi (Israel) for cultural contribution; Anat Bernstein-Reich (Israel), Alfredo Munoz and Steve Felder for contribution to economic growth in India. This initiative also made an attempt to build stronger ties with the rest of the world by promoting such leaders.
