    Pepperdine University 26 Executive Visit to Campus

    A team of 26 senior executive students from the Executive MBA program visited WeSchool Bengaluru campus as part of their International Session on 15th September 2015. The highlight of the International session was the interaction the visiting team had with the WeSchool senior students especially the marketing specialization graduates. The team expressed getting innovative inputs and ideas to business problems from the WeSchool interface. The visiting executives enjoyed asking our students for their thoughts on the company and its future directions as well as giving information on the business environment in the US.

    Foundation Fortnight NEEV 2015 - RESPONSIBLE LEADERS….. PASSIONATELY CURIOUS

    Theme - 'Responsible leaders...Passionately curious' remains at the core of all deliberations

    Foundation Fortnight at Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research is a fortnight-long celebration wherein the Welingkar fraternity welcomes the new batches, familiarizes them with the essence and spirit of the Institute and orients them in the right direction thus preparing them for what lies ahead in the couple of years to come and ultimately LIFE.

    Welingkar, Bengaluru announced its Foundation Fortnight - Neev 2015 open on 26th, June 2015 and went on till 10th July.

    The Fortnight invited around 50 speakers; all accomplished professionals from different orbits sharing their life experience, success mantra, and secrets of excellence with the new batch.

    The fortnight has been dedicated to John Nash, Nobel Prize winner for Game Theory, who was known for his incisive and curious mind. Nash's life met a sad, sudden end in a road accident on May 23, 2015. The chief guest of the day was Justice N. Santosh Hegde, former Lokayukta, State of Karnataka. Hegde is best known for his roles as a former Justice of India, Solicitor General of India and finally as Lokayukta - State of Karnataka.

    Summer Internship Contest is conducted every year with with the following 4 main objectives: 1) To evaluate, encourage and reward best projects of senior students from all specializations (HR, Finance, Operations, and Marketing & Business Design). 2) To bring in competitive spirit amongst the students and provide the right platform. 3) To set benchmarks for junior students, for them to aim and exceed in doing meaningful projects and effective presentations of the same in the future. 4) To showcase our best talents to the target (corporate) audience and explore summer internships and placements opportunities through them.

    Idea Contest 2015-16- A WeSchool South India Level Contest

    Idea Contest 2015-16- A WeSchool South India Level Contest

    Theme – “Think India Transform India’ was held at WeSchool, Bangalore campus, on 5th and 6th March 2016. The contest theme inspired by Late Dr. Abdul Kamal’s vision for India 2020 was dedicated to honor the great scientist who had always encouraged the young minds to dream big and build a new future for India.

    The Idea Contest 2015-16 was conducted in two phases. In the first phase, the regional rounds were held at the institute/college and two best ideas were selected from each institute. The WeSchool, faculty played the role of the jury in selecting the innovative ideas in the first phase of the competition. This Finale of Idea Contest 2015-16 conducted at Campus was spread over two days. The shortlisted students of the preliminary rounds from colleges across Karnataka, Seemandhra, Telangana, Kerala and Tamil Nadu participated in the finale. The ideas were to be presented on themes such as ‘Make in India’, ‘Smart City’, ‘Swatch Bharat’, ‘Digital India’, ‘Skill India’, ‘Startup India’, ‘Stand Up India’ and ‘Incredible India’. an inaugural ceremony was conducted with, Mr. Dattartreya, Gaur, Senior Vice President, Head, Bosch India, as the Chief Guest of the ceremony. Out of the 9 semi-finalists, Mr. Satyanarayanan – student of PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore bagged first prize worth rupees two lakhs, for presenting the idea of a walking stick for visually challenged people with voice assistance. His IOT enabled walking stick would act as a traveling aid for visually impaired. This idea was presented under the ‘Make in India’ theme.Mr. Francis S. Mondal, VIT Vellore won the second prize worth one lakh presented the Idea: A Solar cell with a Brain at the Idea Contest 2015-16.
