With over two decades of experience in higher education, Dr Madhavi Lokhande is committed to advancing learning through impactful teaching, innovative program development, and effective academic administration. As Director at Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research, Bangalore she has contributed significantly to fostering a culture of inclusion, respect, and continuous growth.
Certified as a LEGO® trainer and a Fellow of the prestigious Executive Leadership Academy at UC Berkeley, she brings a unique blend of creativity and leadership to her work. Her CMA credential further strengthens her expertise in management education, enabling her to design and implement programs that prepare students for global leadership.
Beyond academia, she is deeply engaged in service and mentorship. Dr Madhavi was elected on the Global Board of Directors of IMA.
She represents India on the 36 member board across nations. She also holds the position of National Vice President – Homepreneurs Council, Women’s India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) and is on the Board of Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI). She was a mentor for the ISB Goldman Sachs 10k women entrepreneurs’ program. She served for 6 years on the Bangalore chapter of IMA initially as Director of Student Relations and then as the Director. As India Region Liaison for IMA, she coordinated with volunteers and leaders across eight chapters, creating a positive environment that values individuals and encourages innovation and learning. Her philanthropic initiative, “Padhaai” supports underserved students with educational resources, reflecting her belief in education as a transformative force for communities.

She also serves as the ACBSP Region 10 Committee of Digital and Media Communications. As a researcher she has authored several papers, book chapters and case studies in national and international publishing houses.
