Dr. Jyoti Joshi Pant is a seasoned human resource professional and academic leader with close to 25 years of experience seamlessly bridging industry and academia. Her career reflects a deep commitment to building impactful learning ecosystems and fostering collaborations that drive real world change. At Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (WeSchool), Bengaluru, she pioneered the establishment of the Centre of Excellence for Consultancy Projects (CECP), which she continues to lead today. Under her stewardship, the Consulting Centre has evolved into a vibrant hub for strategic partnerships with industry, start-ups, government, and academic institutions, offering faculty and students unparalleled practical exposure through consulting assignments and live projects.

Her core strength lies in translating complex concepts in leadership, people management, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) into actionable insights for her students. She has successfully designed and delivered management development programs for leading corporates including Mercedes Benz Research and Development India, Titan Industries, Infosys BPO, Bosch India, Biocon Limited, Hewlett Packard, McDonald’s, State Bank of India, and Continental Automotive. These engagements highlight her ability to combine academic rigor with industry relevance, enabling organizations to strengthen their people practices.

An accomplished academic, Dr. Jyoti has presented and published her research at reputed global forums in the USA, Singapore, and Vietnam. She has received accolades for her work, including the Rotary Club of Bangalore Health City Award in 2025 for her contributions to inclusion and disability research, and the HerRising Woman Restarter Award in 2026 for her commitment to empowering women professionals. In 2021, she was awarded a grant from AICTE to conduct a national level faculty development program on academic consultancy, further reinforcing her role as a thought leader in academic consulting.

Beyond her responsibilities in campus, Dr. Jyoti has played a pivotal role in advancing gender parity and mentoring initiatives through her leadership in the Confederation of Indian Industry’s Indian Women Network (IWN), Karnataka chapter. Serving on its Executive Committee for the past four years, she has spearheaded programs under the Campus to Career, Mentoring, and Gender Parity & Policy Advocacy pillars. These initiatives have positively transformed educational and professional landscapes, reflecting her deep commitment to cultivating inclusive environments and supporting women’s leadership journeys.

Dr. Jyoti’s academic journey began at Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, followed by postgraduate studies at T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal. She later completed her doctoral program at Jain University, Bengaluru focusing on Diversity Management. Her academic credentials, combined with her industry experience, uniquely position her to guide students in navigating the complexities of modern workplaces and inspire them to become future leaders.
