Prof. Vanita Patel, B.Com. MMS (Finance), teaches core subjects of Finance which includes Cost Accounting & Management Control, Strategic cost management, Financial Management and Financial Accounting.
In her capacity as a core faculty, she has handled administration/ teaching for part time masterīs programs (MMM/MIM/MFM/MHRDM) of University of Mumbai as well as "PGDM-Family Managed Business program". She is currently heading Executive PGDM program.
Her current teaching assignment includes full time programs like PGDM, MMS, and specific programs like Executive PGDM.
At We School she had been given exposure to attend sessions at IIM-Ahmedabad and also to redesign the syllabus of core subjects of finance of PGDM program on the similar lines of IIM-A.This exposure and interaction with IIM-A faculties has been a great value addition to her as a faculty of finance .
Welingkar institute sponsored her to participate in 'Global Colloquium of Participant Centered Learning' (Glocoll) at Harvard Business School, Boston held in July 2013. This exposure has been value addition to her in teaching skills, developing new curriculum, networking with management educators from the globe along with Harvard faculties etc which will be helpful to Welingkar institute.
She has successfully completed the second phase of the above program on 'Case Writing' in February 2014. This program is a truly value add in her teaching profession in terms of developing a teaching plan, how to go about writing a case, how to improve the teaching plan after every session etc.
