Our planet has a massive human populOur world has an enormous human population which reached 8 billion this year. While the population is likely to grow further it is critical to address the difficulties that develop as a result of the rapid growth. Overpopulation is a critical concern particularly given that the world’s resources are diminishing at an unsustainable rate. <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>The importance of raising awareness about the effects of overpopulation on development and ecology was underlined. In keeping with the day’s theme Dr. Bishwabandita Choudhary explained the significance of World Population Day and its relation to the programme. <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>Through these activities our students learned not only about population control issues but also about the potential consequences of expanding population on Mother Earth. Among other things we talked about family planning, gender equality, poverty, maternal health and human rights. <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>On July 11, 2022, Welingkar Institute of Management Research and Development (WeSchool) in Mumbai hosted a Quiz Competition for PGDM Rural Management students which was coordinated by Dr. Vandana Panwar. The prize was given to the students who scored the highest. <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>Every year on July 11th, World Population Day is commemorated to raise awareness about worldwide population issues, especially population control. The theme of World Population Day 2023 is <\/span>Unleashing the Power of Gender Equality Lifting the Voices of Women and Girls to Unlock the Infinite Possibilities of Our World.<\/b> The day offers a moment to celebrate human progress. According to the United Nations Population, Nikunj Bhalotiya emphasized his insights by understanding the significance of population, how to use population efficiently and the worth of resources to be used successfully. <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>Rohit Jadhav discussed the benefits and drawbacks of expanding populations as well as the future outlook and chances for developing countries.\u00a0 <\/span>
<\/span>Parveez addressed environmental concerns as well as inequities. <\/span>
<\/span>Pratik Chandodkar stated More humans means more brains working on it which brings strength. Mukesh mentioned that India has a younger population.\u00a0 <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>Overall student response indicates that awareness of World Population Day, aids in the development of higher leadership abilities, innovation, communication, global perspective and the role of self in society and organization. At the same time it aids in the development of critical and analytical thinking skills.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n
