The event invited entries from students and faculty members across the world to gauge the current trends of administration, governance and management. The five categories in the competition were \u2018Emerging Economies And New Growth Opportunities\u2019, \u2018Changing Marketing Paradigms\u2019, \u2018Evolving Financial Landscape\u2019, \u2018New Ventures And Open Track\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Out of the three teams from WeSchool that had submitted cases, two were judged as the <strong>Best Cases<\/strong> in their respective categories. Prof Indu Mehta\u2019 s Case study on \u2018FINO, a technology enabled model\u00a0 for Financial Inclusion \u2018 won the \u00a0award under\u00a0 the \u2018evolving Financial Landscape\u2019 category.\u00a0 Prof Pendse with Prof Minakshi Agrawal and the Design team had submitted a case called \u2018Twareit \u00a0\u2018which can be used to teach the Design \/Innovation process.\u00a0 This case won the award under the\u2019 New Ventures \u2018Category.\u00a0 The third case about the LOOT chain of stores showcasing \u00a0the challenges faced by a \u00a0company \u00a0moving \u00a0into e-commerce for the first time, authored by Yogesh Kothari (PGDM E-Biz 2010-12) and\u00a0 Jaya Consul (PGDM 2010-12) under the guidance of Prof Pendse made it to the top five in its category.<\/p>\n<p>The winners in each category presented their cases at IIM-A on the 10<sup>th<\/sup> July 2011 in the presence of some of the jury members, IIM faculty, students and other case authors.\u00a0 The award was in the form of a certificate and cash award of $1000.\u00a0 Moreover these cases would now form a part of IIM-A\u2019s case bank.
