The FDP educated, informed, and updated WeSchool faculty on the academic research framework through talks by eminent speakers. The main objective of this FDP was to encourage faculty at WeSchool to publish more academically. As a result, the creation and sharing of ideas and viewpoints across disciplinary boundaries aims to connect theory and practice and is well suited to foster the growth of future leaders who can contribute to both business and society.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0FDP was a 5 day program with sessions focused on &#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Session on \u201c<\/strong><strong>Statistical Discovery<\/strong>\u201dby\u00a0 <strong>Mr. Muralidhara Anandamurthy &#8211; <\/strong>Academic Program JMP, (Statistical Discovery from SAS)<\/p>\n<p>He spoke on\u00a0 JMP software \u2013 a powerful statistical software designed for scientists and engineers to solve problems with data. It offers tools for data preparation, analysis, and graphing, making it ideal for organizations.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-8045\" href=\"https:\/\/www.welingkar.org\/blogs\/faculty-development-program-on-%e2%80%9cenhancing-the-research-productivity%e2%80%9d\/muralidhara\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-8045\" title=\"muralidhara\" src=\"https:\/\/www.welingkar.org\/blogs\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/muralidhara-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Session on \u201cProductivity in Research\u201d by <\/strong><strong>Prof. Sundar Balakrishnan, <\/strong>Professor, University of Washington, Bothell, USA<\/p>\n<p>Tools &amp; Resources for research productivity were stated as task management tools, data analysis tools, and reference management. He emphasized prioritizing research, providing resources &amp; support, and tracking through data analysis, journals, and collaborative projects<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-8046\" href=\"https:\/\/www.welingkar.org\/blogs\/faculty-development-program-on-%e2%80%9cenhancing-the-research-productivity%e2%80%9d\/sundar\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-8046\" title=\"Sundar\" src=\"https:\/\/www.welingkar.org\/blogs\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Sundar-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Session on \u201c<\/strong><strong>Building an Academic Career<\/strong><strong>\u201d by <\/strong><strong>Dr. Janat Shah, <\/strong>Former Director, Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Janat Shah delivered a talk on how to build an academic career. He approached his talk based on his academic journey.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-8047\" href=\"https:\/\/www.welingkar.org\/blogs\/faculty-development-program-on-%e2%80%9cenhancing-the-research-productivity%e2%80%9d\/janat\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-8047\" title=\"Janat\" src=\"https:\/\/www.welingkar.org\/blogs\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Janat-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Session <\/strong><strong>on \u201cData Science Applications in Management Research\u201d\u00a0 by Mr. Venu Gorti ,\u00a0CEO &amp; Co-founder, Cogitaas, Mumbai<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He spoke about analytics for solving business problems. IIM, Bangalore<\/p>\n<p>Session focused on academic writing that originated from industry collaborations.
