Dileepp Gupte on the 50th anniversary of martyrdom after the 1965 Indo-Pak war at WeSchool, Mumbai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em> \u201cOur soldiers make us proud with their unflinching devotion to the nation, we too as citizens need to galvanise our contribution towards nation building that the future generation of not only Indias, but people from all over the world will be proud of.\u201d <\/em>Prof Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool<\/p>\n<p>On 13<sup>th<\/sup> October, 2015, the 50<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of 1965 Indo \u2013 Pak war, the members of\u00a0<strong>Lt. Dilip Gupte Marg Parisar Mandal <\/strong>paid tribute to the young and enthusiastic 23 year old\u00a0<strong>Lt. Dilip Gupte<\/strong>, lost his life fighting for the nation in \u2018Operation \u2013demolish Jura Bridge\u2019. Dignitaries gathered to pay homage to Lt. Dilip Gupte, at the remembrance function organized at WeSchool, Matunga by the Martyrs family.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Guest was,\u00a0<strong>Hon\u2019ble Raksha Mantri, Shri. Manohar Parrikar and the Guest of Honor was Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, WeSchool.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.welingkar.org\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/T1_2469.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4944\" title=\"Defense Minister \u2013 Shri Manohar Parrikar remembers bravery and sacrifice of Lt. Dileepp Gupte on the 50th anniversary of martyrdom after the 1965 Indo-Pak war\" src=\"https:\/\/www.welingkar.org\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/T1_2469-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Renowned actor-director\u00a0Ajit Bhure presented a book on \u2018Operation Jura Bridge\u2019, which is an inspiring story of Lt. Dilip Gupte. The hon\u2019ble minister lauded the supreme devotion that the soldiers have for the nation and admired that entire vicinity in a city like Mumbai had nurtured the memory and spirit of Lt Dilip Gupte for 50 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prof Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool<\/strong> o<strong>n the occasion said,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe at WeSchool have always admired the values and passion that the Indian army is known for. Their discipline, team work, leadership and dedication are some of the traits that we try to inculcate in our students in order for them to achieve even the toughest of goals. Taking a leaf from the pages of our martyrs, I urge the youth to be inspired by these brave men and use education as a tool to become responsible citizens and add an intrinsic value to our country.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>At the same time, I also urge our policy makers in the government to make use of this vast pool of talent to further develop and enhance this country and lay the foundations for a strong youth oriented generation.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As a humble contribution to the nation\u2019s defense forces, WeSchool has been training defense personnel for career options post their retirement from the forces.
