Welingkar's PGCM is a part time fast track certificate program in Management.Total intake for this program is 60. The program is Industry customized with focus on Retail, BFSI and IT sectors. PGCM is covered in four quarters. The first three terms will have all management subjects from basics to specialization in the fields of Marketing, Human resource, Finance and Information technology. This will be followed by a three months summer internship in the final term.
The PGCM program is designed to prepare the students to meet the industry requirement and fitment. The curriculum is intense, and develops highly effective business management professionals. The program will provide the students an opportunity for hands on experience in sectors that the Institution has tied up with such as Retail, BFSI, IT and other emerging sectors. The classroom experience includes extensive interaction between the faculty and the students, personal communication and presentation skills enhancement, and team exercises. In addition to the classroom experience, there are various programs for continued growth, including a global internship program aimed at bringing leading-edge practices and emerging topics for the students.
As the students move on to the second module, they will learn about the core media in depth like TV content, youth marketing, brand integration , media laws, media planning and buying.
The third module will give insights on various verticals of media such as celebrity management, sports management, movie marketing, post production, social media and budgeting and financing.
The program is supported by practical assignments and case studies. Teaching methods include lectures, role plays, concept of business design, workshops, industry-institution interaction and assignments.
On successful completion of the program, the students have a plethora of career choices across media agencies, advertising agencies, channels, film production and distribution companies, Pr companies, etc.
The one year program will comprise of 4 terms. Each term will generally comprise of 75 working days. The first three terms has an average of 5 courses. The program also has a few sessions on situational analyses in the term 3. The term 4 will require the students to undergo a 3 months of internship.
The session will be conducted for 6 days in a week from 6 to 8.30 pm.
