MIEDA Award for Excellence in Education Field honoured to Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe Mumbai, 15th March 2010: The Management Committee of Maharashtra Industrial and Economic Development Association (MIEDA) bestowed to Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, Welingkar Education, with the “MIEDA Award for Excellence in Education Field”. Prof Dr Salunkhe was awarded by Shri. K. Sankaranarayanan, Honorable Governor of Maharashtra and Shri. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission. This award function was held during the Maharastra Economic Summit. The theme was “Sustainable Growth of Maharashtra – A Road Ahead”. It was organized by  Maharashtra Industrial and Economic Development Association (MIEDA) and India International Trade Centre (IITC-India) in association with Government of Maharashtra on the occasion of the birth anniversary of late Shri Y.B. Chavan , Golden jubilee celebration of the formation of the State of Maharashtra and 5th annual day celebrations of MIEDA. Though a Teacher, Prof. Dr. Salunkhe is an avid lifelong learner with a hunger for innovation in education and a passion for sharing what he has discovered with others. Being a dynamic person himself, his passion for Education and sense of purpose have made him bring a paradigm shift in the business of educating people in an exciting and effective manner. From Arya Chanakya to Jack Welch, all have influenced him to work towards making the Institute a place for imparting more than just Education.
